How can Uncle Iroh see Aang on Roku's dragon in the episode Winter Solsice pt1?

I can't find out the answer myself. Do any of you fans know??

Wow I didnt know that and I watched all the episods except the pilot episodes and other things involved with Avatar not including all episodes.
