I liked him, but it made the series less chilish and more adult like. It showed that somethimes you lose people and the only thing to do is move on.

I really hate Jet so no.
Jet wouldn't have added anything to the series anyway and the show would have been a bit more boring Avatar turned out to be one of those shows where nobody dies or everybody dies but then they all come back to life for no logical explanation.

Yes and no.

The show is all about second chances and forgiveness, and Jet was trying to fight off the bad person inside him. When it came down to it, he was his own enemy and he knew it. Almost immedietly after he finally gained control, he was wounded. I see why people hate him, but I can't bring myself to. He's a tragic character, playing 'cool' on the outside, while completely messed up on the inside. I didn't approve of his actions, but I understood why he did what he did.

On the otherhand, death makes the show have a deeper meaning. If nobody died in a show about a world war and balance, it would go against its meaning. I feel that it had to happen, and Jet's calm way of handling it makes me think that he thought it was for the best too (or he was too hurt to care). It just fits well with the strong and heartfelt plot.

I mean, that "he's lying" was just brilliant.
