How do you arrande the pictures on articles?

I made a list but I don't know how to get the photos to be under or above certain text!! I want to put photos but don't know how to arrange them! I hope that makes sense. help?

1. You upload a bottom image (#1, #2, #3, etc).
2. To insert the image in the article, write something like that in where you want it to be:

(img1 center big) (note: put "[]" instead of "()")

But you could also write: "(img1 left small)"

I know I'm not explaining very well, but I hope this helps.

actually this helps a lot. dclairmont said the same thing i guess but when explaining she must have used [] so instead of this explanation i got the half one. thank you both for answering!
