Disney Princess Question

What unique thing do you think each DP contributes?

I promised one popper a lonnng time ago I'd do an article about this. she asked when I mentioned what Aurora brings to the franchise in my "Why I Love Aurora" article.

Snow- optimism
Cinderella- hope, strength?
Aurora- true love, duty?
Ariel- determination, curiosity
Belle- loyalty, intellectual curiosity?
Jasmine- forgiveness, cunning
Pocahontas- peace, wisdom (although that sounds a bit cliche, especially since I don't think she's THE wisest princess)
Mulan- courage
Tiana- ambition, obviously
Rapunzel- passion or inspiration, but it's hard to say for her because as many have pointed out, she doesn't bring much originality
Merida- tenacity, fearlessness (different from courage)
Anna- unconditional love, definitely
Elsa- acceptance?

Snow White = The motherly and caring instinct for others.

Cinderella = I find her special because she has such a short temper, and she doesn't throw fits. She make's the best of everything.

Aurora = Even when she lives in the woods, she's elegant an graceful.

Ariel = Taking risks. I don't like what she did much, so not much of an opinion.

Belle = See's the beauty even in the ugliest of things.

Jasmine = Speaks her mind and isn't afraid of judgement

Pocahontas = Fearless, and yet thinks the right way

Mulan = Also fearless, with a strong personality and attitude.

Tiana = Teaches you to never give up, and follow the things you want the most

Rapunzel = Creativity and intelligence

Merida = Forgivness and stand up for herself

Anna = Loves her family, even in the worst of times

Elsa = I don't think she had much to give expect snow and ice. Bleh.

Snow White-She shows care, and is a motherly figure to most.

Cinderella-She shows courage and patience.

Aurora- She brings gracefulness, elegance, and peacefulness into the lineup. she also is the most flirtatious.

Ariel- she is a risk taker, and the first rebellious DP.

Belle- She showed us not to judge by apperances, she brought intelligence into the lineup.

Jasmine- She brought a sassy, spunky and independent streak.

Pocahontas- She is brought being wise and mature into the franchise and she showed us more about decision making and choosing your right path.

Mulan- She showed us that girls can do anything boys can, and she showed heroism.

Tiana- She showed determination, courage, and independence.

Rapunzel- Creativeness and cleverness

Merida- She was the most adventurous and kind of the first, "tomboyish princess"

Anna- She shows unconditional love for everyone no matter what. she showed great loyalty.

Elsa- She showed us to always be yourself no matter what. You dont have to get acceptance from everyone.

Hardly any DPs contribute any unique traits IMO. Snow White's bossy, Pocahontas is very slow at making decisions, Mulan is lazy and dishonest (at first), Tiana is focused on work.

But here are the things I think each DP was the first to introduce

Snow White - optimism, bossiness
Cinderella - wit
Aurora - imagination, sense of duty
Ariel - rebelliousness
Belle - solitary nature...?
Jasmine - athleticism (pole-vaulting successfully in one shot)
Pocahontas - pacifism, indecisiveness
Mulan - innovation, eager-to-please...ness
Tiana - being a businesswoman
Rapunzel - having magic golden hair, artistic sense
Merida - very curly hair (can't say archery bc then I'd have to put swimming for Ariel and diving for Pocahontas and basically all of Rapunzel's hobbies - it would just be too complicated)

This was very, very hard... I hardly had anything to choose from once I got to the end of the line
