I'm really into, not only the official Disney Princesses, but the unofficial ones as well.

I love Merida, even though she's not an official princess. I say just let people get it out of their system, some of us spent a while thinking she was going to join the line up.

I like her. She is not in the line-up but she is a Disney Princess, like Kida and Eilonwy. I have heard rumors that she may be joining the line-up but upon searching to see if it was true I found no evidence to say it was or wasn't true. Time will tell. I read somewhere on fanpop that she was going to join the line-up and next year Anna? from Frozen will join it also. (I read it on this club I think.) But don't know if it is rumors that are true or wishful thinking.

She won't...and really, this is very bothersome for me for an entirely different reason: The movie isn't in theaters yet in my country, and people are so careless with what they post. I don't want to be spoiled, but neither do I want to go in seclusion.
Plus, I don't think that for Merida should be different rules than for the other non-DP Heroines. This spot is about the ten in the banner, about noone else. With Rapunzel, it was more or less clear that she would join the line-up, with merida it's highly unlikely.

I thought it's almost 100 percents confirmed that she is going to join the line up one day, I read a lot of official statements about it and that's why no, I'm not bothered with it. She isn't my favourite Disney heroine, but she is a princess and she deserves her right to join the line up just as she deserves to be loved by fans in this spot.

Why aren't we bringing up here Meg or Anastasia as well?
Merida is not a princess (disney princess), not even Disney, she's Disney pixar.
Why should we compare her with Disney princesses (considering her as a princess, I don't talk about picks about othe stuff)

Meh, it's something to talk about. But there is a Brave spot, so perhaps most of the conversation about Merida and the story should be there instead, especially considering how many people haven't seen the movie yet.

I agree with Swanpride. It's not out here yet but America doesn't seem to care when they post stuff. Disney always releases in America MONTHS before it reaches other country.

humm..ok guys, none of them is a princess, in the end they married and becames QUEENS! I'm not really sure about the ones who still had their parents alive, but the ones who didn't became queens..

I say she should be in the line up sure she's disney pixar but pixar is owned by disney so pixar goes "Hey we have and idea for a movie!" but disney has the power to say no! and disney writers wrote most of the story pixar just animated it. And 2nd she is an actual princess she was born one technically we have 2 "princesses" in our line up that aren't even princesses, Pocahontas was the daughter of a chief someone important in the tribe but not a king and in the sequel she didn't marry a prince! and mulan she can't even technically call herself one she was the daughter of a war veteran sure she saved china thats being a hero not a princess and she married a war general or whatever Shang was so at the end of the day Merida should be included in the line up!
