Ariel isn't queen material. Plus, she knows very little about the human world and how it works.

Jasmine could be next. Ariel is't the best parent, and she goes to the extremes of risking a life. Also Jasmine wouldn't seem concerned about ruling, and she's much too busy flying around in a magic carpet saying "YOLO!"

I love her, but the girl can't make concrete decisions to save her life. Plus, you can't always talk your way out of war. How would she handle it, having to willingly send her people to die? Also, her philosophy wouldn't sit well with everyone. Not everyone's curious about what's "Just Around the Riverbend."

I never thought that Ariel in particular would be the best ruler considering the lack of concentration and the extent of recklessness in her character, however, in the sequel she and Eric seem to be pretty successfull when it comes to ruling their kindom. I'll have to go with Snow White, she makes a nice princess, but I don't see her actually being able to take important decisions regarding politics.
