I like this one, I think it's really well done.
I don't think Rapunzel or Pocahontas should be here, neither of them really whined about their parent not understanding nor was particularly rebellious...

Lovely relationship <3 The Sultan just wants the best for her daughter and truly cares about her and Jasmine also cares about him and love him. He try to understand her daughter and then accept her decision.

I do love the relationship between Ariel/Triton, and Jasmine/Sultan's relationship is hilarious, but my favourite would definetly be Merida and Elinor. I think it's very well done, complex and relatable (to me anyway) as well as intense and funny too ^^

Rapunzel wasn't rebellious by disobeying her mother and lying about her wanting paint to get her away? I think you guys are thinking of someone outright disrespectfully arguing with their parents and being running away as "revenge" when you hear rebellious, which isn't what it means.

Pocahontas is rebellious but not whiny. which is funny because for Disney you almost never have a rebellious kid who doesn't whine.

I like that Merida always loved her mother and made up with her. The fact that she was so horrid before makes what she did a very strong thing to do.

I like Triton because he acts like a real parent but I don't like his relationship with Ariel. He spoils her to death and rewarded her for happily disobeying him and causing so much chaos in his kingdom on sheer impulse. I'm glad he loves her but he let her get away with murder sometimes, and she doesn't seem to repent it.

I don't really feel anything about Poca/Powhatan. I wish Jasmine was more respectful around her dad, otherwise I don't mind them.

I love how realistic their relationship is and how even though Elinor showed concern and did compromise she did not let Merida entirely off for what she did and they seem to have a closer bond and respectful understanding then the others.

Also Merida and Eleanor. And I don't see Pocahontas as whiny or rebellious.

Elinor and Merida and Ariel and Triton are my other favorites but I love the Sultan and Jasmine the best. He only denies her what she wants because he thinks its best and he was always there for her. You see them do selfless things for each other throughout the series and that's what I think family is all about.

There relationship was the most well know. Growing up, watching the movie and the TV series, I remember a lot a about Ariel and Triton. About how Ariel wanted adventure and wanted to learn about the human world and Triton wanted Ariel to have nothing to do with humans because he thought they were dangerous (If you watched the prequel, you'll understand why). Their relationship was developed a lot and at the end of the movie, when Triton gave his daughters legs to be with Eric and after wards, Ariel hugged and said, "I love you, daddy," that to me meant that their relationship had come full circle.

Except for the fact that Pocahontas is not whiny in the slightest.

Triton loves Ariel and wants what's best for her while Ariel loves her dad too. Even though they argue a lot, they still love each other. I found it very sweet how Ariel hugged her father in the end and told him that she loves him - and she did mean it.

Elinor and Merida's relationship had more depth and touchiness to it. They work well with each other and they make a dynamic pair as daughter and Mumbear. I like Ariel and Triton's relationship too, I felt Triton's sadness when he lost Ariel and it's neat that he sacrificed himself for her. This one's touching too.

Then Jasmine and Sultan

Very sweet. Also Pocahantas and Powhatan.
