But I don't really like either of them.

Love this movie!

I like both sequels.

I enjoy both sequels but I do not like them. Haha, yes I am strange.
The Little Mermaid 3 does not make sense. It completely changes Flounder's and Sebastian's personalities making them rebels which it would be ok if Sebastian wasn't so -follow-the-tradition-and-listen-to-the -king's-orders type of... sea creature (lol) and Flounder wasn't so coward.
Also the villain is the lamest and weakest villain I've ever seen and her motivation is rather ridiculous. Why couldn't they give us a younger Ursula and her past? Obviously, they were too afraid to touch such a character.

But I chose it over The little mermaid 2 because I don't like Eric in the second one.
It would be better if the movie gave him and Ariel more screen time. Surely, he and Ariel were much in love with each other and I liked them as a married couple in the second movie but I wanted more. And since I am a big fan of this couple this matters for me more than the disadvantages of the third movie. (The animation was not so good either, especially for Eric). Last but not least, few people know about the third Little Mermaid movie, so the changes to the characters do not bother me. But more people know about the second movie so it makes me more annoyed.
Plus, the third movie is before the events in the first so it's not a huge problem to me. What follows matters the most.

BY FAR! I love Return To The Sea and I hate Ariel's Beginning.

I love this one! I just watched the third one recently, and it wasn't as good as I remember, but (this will sound weird because it's still pretty new) it brings me back to my obsession with that movie. It's beautiful, especially the first time around. No, I didn't grow up with the tv series. The other one, I'm neutral about.
