Disney Princess I realized Merida's dad and Scrooge's dad are both named Fergus. Who finds it weird that the fathers of Disney's 2 most popular Scottish characters have the same name?

To me it says they have no imagination.

Sorry I couldn't fit everything I wanted to say up there. I noticed while I was watching DuckTales, that Scrooge's father is also named Fergus like Merida's father. And thought that was odd that the two, arguably, most popularly Scottish characters Disney has would have dads with the same name.

Well Scrooge's father was invented by Carl Barks and Pixar made Brave. I don't really see connection and I doubt people at pixar were even aware of what name Scrooge's father has.
