I think it's admirable, especially in her situation.

It's one of the main things I like about her. Myself, I probably would've talked back and spited my stepmother with all my being in her situation, and just stood up for myself. [Though I guess with how she was stuck, it was understandable why she was so obedient] But there's something about her remaining so kind, and put together, and sweet even to those that have been so cruel that touches my heart.
