KataraLover picked The Little Mermaid 2: Return To The Sea:
These movies are mediocre but I love them anyway! I already know their problems but I don't care.

Return To The Sea's main problem is that it's a rehash of the original, which is a big problem. Why would people wanna see a sequel that's a rehash when they have the original. Plus the villain isn't very good (though I find her funny), Ariel is kind of out of character, and I hate Tip and Dash. However, the songs are pretty good, the animation is really pretty, and Melody is a great character. Yes, Melody is a lot like Ariel but she's her daughter, so it's expected that she'd have a lot of her mother's personality traits. But she has her own traits that makes her be her own character. Ariel is more confident and a social butterfly while Melody is more insecure, shy, and awkward. Plus, while I love both characters equally, Melody from a writing stand-point is a better character than Ariel because she has flaws she has to work through and fixes the mistakes she makes. So it has some bad stuff but also some good stuff. Overall, while I love it, it's a mediocre film.

Dreams Come True's problem is the fact that it lacks a coherent storyline. I mean, Aim To Please and Uncommon Romance are very good stories. Unfortunately the one with Jaq becoming human is really lame. I mean, having separate stories in a movie works in Winnie The Pooh and Fantasia, so why doesn't it work with Cinderella? I guess it's because Cinderella is more serious than Fantasia and Winnie The Pooh. The songs are great but they don't fit the Cinderella style because they're very poppy. They do fit the mood of the scenes like the songs do with Tarzan without characters singing, but the style of the songs don't suit Cinderella. The animation is nice looking, though Cinderella, Drizella, and Lady Tremaine look horrible. Plus Prudence and Pom-Pom are lame characters. Why does Cinderella have a cat when she has mice friends? Overall, it's not awful and not even really bad. I mean, these would be good episodes for a TV show, which this movie was meant to be.

Belle's Magical World has the same problem as Dream's Come True, lack of coherent storyline. But overall the stories are enjoyable in a TV series way but having separate stories doesn't fit the more serious style of Beauty and The Beast. The animation is AWFUL! The songs are good but it's odd that they're placed after a story and not during one. It would be a good show, which is what it should have been. It's not really awful or that bad. The characters are true to themselves, the new characters are enjoyable, and it helps show the relationship between Belle and Beast.

While I don't think any of these are bad, they're not good either, just mediocre. But I love them anyway! They're guilty pleasures.
