Well, I'm not sure which would be the more heroic of the two if both were Disney, but Once Upon a Time's Merida was much more heroic than Disney's Cinderella imo.

When I think of female heroines, Mulan comes to mind, not Merida. Merida basically created a disaster, and then had to fix the outcome.

^Meh. This poll was created to compare Merida vs Cinderella, not Mulan. May be you need to made your own poll and included her in there.
And do you forgot that Merida saves her mother?? Okay she created a disaster but she have a reason for that. She just don't want to be forced. And it wat very usual that she was furious like that. She's 16 year old, she's a teenager. A teenager still doesn't mature yet and still has unstable emotion.

Merida is more heroic but what Cinderella does in Cinderella III is also quite heroic.

@Sparklefairy: You're right. Merida is far more emotional. Mulan is definitely more cool-headed and even tempered, and Mulan solves an external problem that she did not create. Thus, I find her more of a hero than Merida. Thus, my distinction between the two.

They are both super tough and in such different ways that it almost seems like an unfair comparison imo.

I'm leaning toward Cindy though - I prefer her quiet strength, I guess.
