At this point, I still say they're NOT going the join because their movie has been out for two years already! It didn't take the other princesses nearly this long to join, so I don't think they'll be joining! I mean, they said Giselle would be joining and she was in some Disney Princess merchandise, but when Disney realized they'd have to pay Amy Adams royalty fees, she didn't join. That's similar to how Frozen has become, unfortunately for my sanity, one of Disney's most successful products that they like to promote like crazy! They're making more money from Frozen being it's own franchise than if it was just part of the Disney Princess line-up. Esmeralda and Tinkerbell were once part of the line-up, but they were removed for different reasons, Tinkerbell to have her own Disney Fairies franchise and Esmeralda for not really fitting in and her movie being too controversial. Megara fits all the typical Disney Princess requirements (singing, at least before Merida broke that rule, from a successful movie, and marries the prince of the Gods so she is a princess), but she sure as hell hasn't joined. Eilonwy and Kida also are princesses and haven't joined. So just because Anna and Elsa are royalty and were originally supposed to join, it doesn't mean they will, especially with how long it's been taking!

^ That's a really good point though I think it's still possible. Was Frozen advertised as a 'princess' movie before it came out?

It is strange you think Disney wouldn't hesitate to add them to the line up with such a box office success that was advertised as a princess movie.

@audreygrace412 Anna and Elsa were definitely used in some Disney Princess merchandise and products before the Frozen craze happened, so I'm pretty sure it was advertised as a princess movie before it came out.

^ Thank you for your insight. I honestly can't remember either way but I think that factor would be very telling as to whether or not they have plans to eventually have a 'coronation' in. I always thought they were just capitalizing on Frozen as much as possible and waiting for that to die down before re-promoting as Frozen DPs.

The hype can't die down if Disney keeps shoving Frozen in our faces and refusing to let it die down by doing so lol

You'd think a two year, almost three year span would be enough to let Frozen "go." I definitely let go of my fascination with Frozen a while back. Something else please. STAT.

I don't think they're gonna join the DP line, but I feel like we should still be allow (for lack of a better word) to add them to polls and countdowns and such.

^ What would the point be if they're not official, since this club if for the official Disney Princesses? Otherwise, by that logic, we should also be including Eilonwy, Megara, Kida, Giselle, Tinkerbell, Esmeralda, and so forth.

@KataraLover; Because none of those ones fit as well as Anna and (kinda) Elsa do.

Eilonwy: Too young, her movie was a flop at the box office and she's not that well knew.
Meg: As much as I would love her to be include in the line up and such she doesn't quite fit with her design that is so different from the DPs.
Kida: Again, her movie didn't do that well at the box office.
Giselle: She was only animated for a small part of her movie so it feels off to add her.
Tinkerbell: Has her own franchise and was kicked out of the DP one for that.
Esmeralda: Was in the lineup but was kicked out, so it wouldn't make much sense.

With Anna and Elsa they were suppose to be in the line up and only never got added because of the huge success their movie got. If they had gotten added, I don't think they would have ever been kicked out. Also, correct me if I'm wrong here, but the only person I've seen complaining about Anna and Elsa being talked about here is you. Just about everyone else seems fine with Anna and Elsa being in polls and countdowns and lists and such.

If Moana has coronated as Disney Princess, just like Tiana, Rapunzel, and Merida does, yeah Anna and Elsa won't be official Disney Princesses. Though it was depends from Disney.

I really don't get why we still include Anna and Elsa in polls and articles.
