I love giving my characters colorful hair for no reason other than the fact that it looks cool. I thought it would be really cool to see a DP with pink or blue hair. I don't count Ariel or Merida bc they're redheads and since it's a fuckin cartoon it's not supposed to look like a realistic shade (just like home some dark haired characters have pure black hair and how some blondes have saturated yellow hair).

Why not? It reminds me with some anime that some characters have colorful hair as well.

I have a barbie mermaid doll that has pink hair.(Her mermaid tail can come off and then she is a human, and no longer a mermaid till u put the tail back on) I just pretend that she was born with it. So why not have a DP with pink hair and she was born with it?

Only if it was because of a magical condition or something along those lines.

Because having unnatural hair colors IRL may go out of style, and that would therefore date the DP.

I'll assume they dyed it if there's no explanation.

If there's another mermaid, it might be cool. But for a human princess, no.
