For those of you who are going to say that it was Sherri Stoner that was used to model Ariel, that was only for having the body movements to reference back to when the animators would draw a scene in order to make it more realistic. However, that doesn't mean they used her face as well. They modeled Ariel after pictures of Alyssa Milano because she was around Ariel's age at the same, was absolutely gorgeous (still is), and was on the popular TV classic from the 80's and even a little in the early 90's. When people say Ariel doesn't look like Alyssa now, that's because Alyssa has gotten older and has matured. So I decided to do pictures of Ariel with a more mature and older look to make her look more like Alyssa and then I just decided to just animate Alyssa while I was at it. Here are two clips where Alyssa Milano CONFIRMS that Disney did model Ariel after her.
