I don't need your useless "but Esmeralda isn't gay" comments. technically we have zero proof of any of the princesses being straight. they could all be bisexual for all we know.


Anyway, Esmeralda needs someone who is at bare minimum, able to keep up with her witticisms and fighting on behalf of others. I almost picked Tiana, but I was more steered towards Jasmine since she's a bit more romantic and vocal. However; Jasmine and Esmeralda may have some serious fights since they're both so vocal but Tiana may be better at levelling out the relationship.
I can also see Belle being good for Esmeralda. I may actually change my vote for her. Belle is level-headed but also not afraid to stand up for her convictions. I'm afraid Tiana may be too tied down to her restaurant for her and Esmeralda to work. Then again, Esmeralda is only rebellious because she's outcasted. Yeah, actually, I think I'll stick with Belle. I can be persuaded though.

I'd say Ariel or Jasmine :)

Or Pocahontas, which I could see, because Pocahontas and Ariel both stick up for "barbarians" and "savages."

She's would like her peaceful and playful nature.

Honestly it's been so long since I last watched THoND that I don't remember Esmeralda's character that well, but from what I do remember it seems like she'd find Jas really attractive. They'd definitely get in some fights though. But underneath it all they'd adore each other.
