I'd like to know why a bowl is his preferred method of transportation for eggs though. I don't understand how someone with his wisdom and in depth knowledge of the French rural economy and egg industry doesn't have the sense to carry them in a basket but I don't buy eggs at all so maybe I, like the woman, could learn something from this sage.

@audreyfreak-- it's actually not the man with the eggs who says 'that's too expensive', it's a different chubby blonde guy buying something off a cart on the other side of the road. unrelated to the woman and her eggs.
agree with your point about the bowl though. seems dangerous to carry them that way. he seems wise beyond his years. he's learned transcendence and balance so well he can carry several dozen eggs in a mere bowl.

what is she going to do with 6 eggs? she has 5 kids clamoring all over her. those eggs won't last a day and probably won't last the ride home the way her kids are behaving.
