Unlike Pocahontas II, Mulan Ii has some enjoyable aspects.

Mulan and Shang working together, developing a relationship.

^agree, and Shang's death scene was very poignant.

The princesses were fresh addition IMO.

I don't know, call these three a guilty pleasure?
They aren't the greatest characters ever, but I enjoyed them. :)
Shang's death and the following scene were admittedly well done, too.

Enjoyable action scenes. I liked both carriage accident and bandit attack scenes. I find them exciting.

The fact that three new female characters were introduced. It's very important because I love analyzing fictional females.

Ting-Ting's personality. She is awesome! She is courageous, selfless, responsible and mature. Unfortunately, the creators gave her a worse love interest than she deserves.

Su's personality. She is awesome too. She is very optimistic and quite adaptable. She reminds of both Snow White and Rapunzel.

The Emperor's decision to avoid the war. It's very touchy. I didn't like the Emperor in the first movie but in the sequel I found his decision to avoid the war and safe the lives of his citizens very touchy. That's true father of his people.
