She has better characteristic, she has more logical reason to curse the princess instead for the one who curse her due of being not invited to the party. Plus, Angelina Jolie giving the best performance.

The only thing the remake has in common with the original is her name and her dress. So yes the one in the remake is deep but we just cant pretend this Is maleficent. Not same Home , personality, powers ,curse, relation with the other characters.i prefer the original the other is another character.
