^I honestly think that this was Disney teaching, once again, that just because you've know a guy for a few minutes doesn't mean it's true love. Enchanted did that and Frozen did the "you can't marry someone you just met" and while I'm not a big fan of Maleficent, I really love that for the true loves kiss, they used motherly love instead of the cliched "guy kisses girl even though they only met once for a few seconds"
I think they actually DO need to teach that because there are girls out there (I've been one of them) who were raised on disney movies to believe love at first sight exists, that being with a guy for less than a few minutes is true love, and that that first guy you're with is the one you're with forever (one of the reasons I love Pocahontas 2 so much)
^ I've never met or seen any. And there's such worse things that girls could learn about instead, like letting a guy walk over you or him emotionally manipulating you.
Plus, guys... it's fairy tales. They don't have to have realistic meetings. I mean, nobidy cares that Elsa's depression is magically cured in the movie or that singing rocks give (awful, frankly) love advice, stuff I'd be more concerned about them being taught. Disney is full of unrealistic stuff- talking dragons, magic hair, enchanted castles, etc. But only cute fairy tale romances get flack.
I like the original Phillip. He´s brave, he shows that he cares more about love than his royal status (I have to give him credit for that attitude) and at least he fights the dragon. The remake one is useless, boring and he´s not even handsome.
@AudreyFreak I'm one of those people who used to believe that and I've actually met people, online and in real life, who thought this at some point in their lives
Another Philip is just a Harry Styles knock-off.
