When I took over for MaidofOrleans I never thought to ask how nominating outside the DP group worked because I had assumed it had meant just giving a character from one of the other group but then after Alice became POTM last month I found out recently other people assumed otherwise.

So I’m gonna go ahead and ask all of you what you would prefer.

^That's what I was thinking too. I can understand giving sidekicks and villains etc appreciation and all but how would the polls work? The same with the "Why we love all these movies/songs/etc"

This. Otherwise it would be too confusing imo, and I thought it worked perfectly well with Alice.

I prefer the group. It is after all the "princess of the month" not the "character of the month", and if every single character PLUS movies PLUS additional characters are eligeble, some will never get honored and it will take ages until we start a new round with the princesses (which alone can fill a year by now). The questions and polls can easily adjusted to groups, plus, I don't think that it makes much of a difference if the quesiton is "what do you like about Villain X" or if the quesiton is "What do your like about Disney Princess villains".

^the only way that would happen would be if a bunch of people kept nominating Maui or Ratcliffe or Mushu or something and since it took us months to even get an unofficial princess I think the DPs will be fine. And as you said it’s POTM so it’s not like everyone is going to have their own month, just characters they like

Maybe, but I think if villains win, I will run a general villain round next months anyway. Don't take this as a slight when I do, it allows more contestants more creative freedom.

^k people can do whatever they want, just as long as no one gets upset over who wins POTM
