I'm a guy so I can't have all that hair. Besides it be hard to get around with such long hair. With Fiona I'd just turn into an ogre at night and I don't care much for looks so it wouldn't matter. But I would hate to be in either of their situations.

I agree with Mongoose09. At least Rapunzel has company and is able to enjoy being in the tower with her paints, books, etc. For Fiona, it is a real prison with that dragon there.

Surely the qestion is whose reason for being in the tower is preferrable, not whose overall tower situation is preferrable? Sure, Rapunzel's got it pretty cushy in her tower, but she's in there because an old hag wants her hair. Fiona's in her tower so that Prince Charming can rescue her, so even though it doesn't end up very nice for Fiona, the premise is better.
