Glee Question

Has GLEE jumped the shark??

"Glee": "All it's about is over-the-top production. It used to just be about outcast kids who loved to sing. Why the need for all the special guests and huge production songs? And I don't like when media singles out one person (ahem, Lea [Michele]) on every cover and news story. I wish they would go back to the beginning and remember what the show used to be about." \

Well, yes and no. It's still a good show, but I agree with the thing about the guest stars. And I wish they gave more music to the other kids, because personally, Finn is not the best singer, and I'm sick of Rachel's singing.

Strangely I never get tired of Rachel singing… Not until now anyway.

I agree about finn but IMO Rachel still has one of the best if not the best voice on the show so i could see why they keep showcasing her

The guest star BS is what pisses me off the most, especially ones that are glorified cameos. Britney Spears was fine but only because she is an icon.

I kind of agree. I agree about the guest star thing (I don't like the Warblers) and I miss the older episodes. I think that Tina, Artie, Brittnay, Santana, and Mike need more parts (and I honestly don't care if Mike can't sing).
I also miss Vocal Adrenaline...

I agree I hadn't really realized it until now but u r so right. I also think Rachel gets 2 many solos that gets really old she is a good singer but I would like it if she wasn't the only one singing! I also h8 how Kurt isn't even with new directions that just got crazy. Will he ever go back?

A lot of shows seem to have "jumped the shark" during some episodes but I think there have been a lot that can compare with what made glee amazing...
Grilled Cheezus was amazing, Britney/Brittany was pretty good, Furt was super sweet, Special Education and Duets was amazing.
I don't think every episode can be perfect, but these come close.

brittney /brittney was terrible.. it the reason why glee is has jumped the shark.... it has become more abt the guest stars not the show and music..

I didn't think that one had anything to do with guest star. Brittney's guest star was a cameo, a lot like Josh Groban's when he told Sandy to stop stalking him, and no one complained about that. The whole episode had to do with the relationships and how the glee club is growing and wants to do more edgy music. What's "jumping the shark" about that?

I feel like Glee lost its glee. really, it satred in teh Back 9 already but now its even more obvious that instead of thinking up the story and fit the music into it they just choose a hit single and somehow try - and often fail, to wrap some sort fo story around it :( and its really sad because they have one hell of a talented cast there

I think it completely depends on who you are and what you want to happen on the show. I LOVE the Bartie, especially now that they're actually being featured and developed. I love that Kurt stopped flirting with Finn and has more of a real storyline. I loved NPH and I hope they bring him back on the show again. I dunno. Back in season 1 there was way too much Finn/Rachel and there still is. I think the show's gotten even funnier and I like seeing the spotlight spread around. They really need to continue that. I want to punch Rachel in the face EVERY SINGLE WEEK.
