Honestly, i'm not quite sure as i can't see them with anybody else. Perhaps its because the girl haters want Harry to themselves, or perhaps they don't see like them together because Ginny is Ron's little sister also i was talking to my friend the other day and she said she perfers harry/hermione because Harry fitted her better than Ron so mabye its not that they don't like Harry/Ginny its just that they prefer Harry/Hermione... just a few suggestions

The Harmony shipers (read: militant delusionals) are typically Ginny bashing, and VERY anti-Harry/Ginny...
I don't hate Harry and Ginny in the books. I do hate them however in the movies.
First off Bonnie was not a good pick for Ginny IMO. She doesn't know how to act in the least and Daniel has had to improve on his acting skills through out the movies. So that brings me to my second point. Bonnie and Daniel had 0% chemistry on screen. Most of the scenes between them just made me want to leave the room, because of the awkwardness between them. IMO they both ruined my favorite book couple.

...And to be honest Harry and Cho's scene was more moving to me and that should be an abomination.
I think some of the haters probably already determined in their minds that Harry and Ginny were going to wind up with other characters and, in doing so, had psychologically blocked out moments in the book which were clues to them eventually being together.
I love them together to!
Maybe cause they think its awkward..I'm not sure.

It was only awkward in the films. 95% of anti-Harry/Ginny militants (typically Harmony shipers) base their opinion off the film, and have not read the books or deluded themselves in face of the anvil sized hints...
i'm really fond of this couple...Ginny loved Harry so much that it feels wrong just thinking about ending Harry with someone else and not with Ginny...Ginny was understanding and always stood up for Harry though he took a very few notice of her in the beginning...Harry's so shy, so i think in every kiss scenes, Ginny kissed him first...it's so different and admirable...
i don't see why Harry and Hermione are good as a couple...they are the ones who prove that a boy and a girl can just be best friends and nothing more...so why spoil that?? i never felt a connection between them...they really loved each other, but it was purely friendship...maybe Hermione could have felt something for Harry, but Harry can never ever see her that way...

There is an extremely good essay by Red Monster which takes note of the interest/notice issue: www.sugarquill.net/index.php?action=gringotts&st=hglovered very good essay showing there were anvil sized hints even before book 5
1. Because they're fans of other pairings, e.g. Harry/Hermione, and feel that this canon pairing gets in the way of what they wanted, so they automatically hate it.
2. They feel it came out of nowhere in book 6 (though that's kinda what has to happen, with any pairing who'd known each other when they were kids/early teens)
3. They might have only seen the films, and thought that the pairing isn't that great in the films.

Point one: Harry/Hermione shippers are a very good example of people who feel that Harry/Ginny gets in the way of what they wanted, so they automatically hate it. Point two: it didn't really come out of nowhere ... read this essay: www.sugarquill.net/index.php?action=gringotts&st=hglovered Point three: the films were TERRIBLE in depicting Harry/Ginny. And I have the feeling that it was deliberate to make it awkward. Because the directors and Kloves (who I have a dislike for) are Harmony shipers...
