Harvest Moon Question

Does anyone know how to open the mines?

I'm looking for anyone who can tell me how to open the mine in the HM game Harvest Moon; A tale of two towns. I have not been able to find out how and it's making it hard to play the game any futher.

To open up the mines you first have to have the villages friendship at max (all hearts completely filled). Which you accomplish by doing the cooking festivals.

Also have your farm expanded at 100% completion which Eileen does for you (you can find that on the request board in Bluebell).

Your Request Level needs to be at Level 5 at least.

After that happens you have Eileen from Bluebell expand the tunnel between the two towns.
