iPod Question

Anyone ever had this problem?

I had an accident with my Ipod a hours ago ago; I was walking home, I tripped, I fell and my Ipod hit the concrete pretty hard. Now something strange is happening to it;

If I were to play it without my headphones plugged in, I can hear music. But when I plug my headphones in, I can't hear a sound at all. I don't know what's wrong with it, or what I did or how to fix it.

Have you had this problem before and/or have any idea on what to do for it?

I've never had this problem before but I suggest taking it to the Apple store. Of coarse if they know the damage is your fault, and can't fix it you have to pay for a new one, but if the damange isn't your fault they give you a free one.

The only reason I can think of is that the headphone jack malfuntioned. Here's an answer from another website.

The problem is the internal headphone jack has malfunctioned. To fix the problem first try doing a hard reset, then update your ipod with the newest version for it. Also try blowing it out with canned air. If this does not work and you are still under warranty schedule an appointment with a genius at your local Apple Store. If you don't have a warranty then order an internal headphone jack online and install it yourself, because apple will charge you more than your ipod is worth.
