Does anyone else believe that was BEYOND wrong to kill Marian off Robin Hood?!!!...because I really do...

From my understanding, the only reason they did kill Marian off is because her actress wanted to leave. They should have realised the show would be a failure afterwards, and killed both off at the same time.
