Les Miserables (2012 Movie) Question

Has anyone else noticed this?

It is said that standing on a person's left side is a sign of your loyalty towards the person. In the scene where Enjolras and Grantaire died, Grantaire went to stand on Enjolras's left side...do you think it was planned or just a coincidence? just wondering..:)

I didn't know that either but I think Tom Hooper intended to let them die like that.

It's likely it's on purpose. In the book, Grantaire is very loyal to Enjolras, although Enjolras is disgusted with. In the end he comes and dies with Enjolras because, even though he didn't believe in the republic, he believed in Enjolras and was loyal to him.
