Raymond held the bloody knife at my mom.
" And if you do anything to stop the wedding, I'll kill him! Any you too!" He yelled.
Mom had tears stream down her face. " Summer, there ain't a thing I can do to stop the wedding, so you're becoming a bride at 17." She mumbled.
Raymond shot a devilish grin. " You ready to become Mrs. Raymond Walker?" He said, rubbing his hand over my cheek.
I looked up at him with the darkest, coldest stare. I formed my lips to say no, but I looked over at my father, who was in so much pain because of me.
I bit my lip. " Yes, I am." Raymond smiled and gave me the tightest hug ever.
Though I didn't want to celebrate, I had too. Or else I wouldn't have any parents anymore. Besides, I don't love Raymond. He's a dark, mean spirited and has " Future Murderer" written all over him.
I look away at my mother, who is sitting in a chair, balling her eyes out.
I went over to my dad, who's head was looking down, breathing loudly. I lifted his head up. " Dad, I did it."
His face was red from having his head down too long, his eyes light yellow and filled with gloom. He fluttered his eyes until he could see. " I'm sorry I put you through this Summer. I love you too much to let you marry someone you don't love, but I can't do anything this time." He bellowed.
I smiled. " I love you too, Dad." He put his head back down, but this time he wasn't breathing.
My eyes burst with fear. " Dad? Wake up!!!" He didn't answer. Then, I felt something dripping on my arm. I was terrified to look down, then I saw blood. I gasped. " Daddy!!!"
Mom ran towards us and held Michael in her arms. " Raymond!!!! We need to take him to the hospital!"
As we were riding there, a disturbing thought crossed my mind. Could my dad be a goner?

You were there, before we came
You took the hurt, you took the shame
They built the walls to block your way
You beat them down, you won the day
It wasn't right, it wasn't fair
You taught them all, you made them care
Yes you were there and thanks to you
There's now a door, we all walk through
And we are here, for all to see
To be the best that we can be
Yes I am here...
'Cause you were there
You took the hurt, you took the shame
They built the walls to block your way
You beat them down, you won the day
It wasn't right, it wasn't fair
You taught them all, you made them care
Yes you were there and thanks to you
