1: SMILING FRIENDS:
Let's start with the newest Adult Swim show that has been making a splash, made almost directly for youtubers in one form or another. With the same humour and art style of Meatcayon and Oney, and featuring many youtube cameos, including Oney himself. And even Chills made a appearence.
Despite the show's dark disturbing nature, the actual premise itself is relatively heartwarming one. Their goal is to simply make people happy, that's literally it. And the cast actually does make you feel that they do see each other as friends and care about one another, as where in most shows "friends" are often written to be abusive or manipulative, for the expense of comedy..
2: INVINCIBLE:
Admittedly I have not actually scene this show, but what I hear is enough to put in here.. I don't wanna overhype it like some people do Hazbin Hotel, but it's said to be really good..
3: HAZBIN HOTEL:
Speaking of which, here it is. The show has a very similiar premise of Smiling Friends, of a character simply trying to bring some light to a otherwise bleak world.
The show has a lot of the same issues I have with many modern shows these days, Viv just feels like she's one of the worst for it, as most of her characters can't go more than two sentences without throwing in "fuck".
But at least it makes sense for the setting, and it's admittedly still better than Helluva Boss. As Blitzo himself was the only reason I really liked it.
We're have to see how Season 2 goes..
4: HARLEY QUINN:
Any show set in the Batman universe is always gonna be good. Espically if it stars Kathy Cucoo, the girl from Big Bang Theory. It's hard for me to find female comedians that generally make me laugh. But she and Emma Stone are pretty up there for it..
5: BOJACK HORSEMAN:
This one doesn't fully count as it's 2014, but it still remains one of the greatest new age series we've gotten so far. So it remains a honorable mention..
This one I highly recommend just watching it for yourself..
