You would actually be surprised about where you could find desu desu. The anime Is this a Zombie?, it's Japanese name is Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?

If anything, the translation of desu to english would closely resemble "this is" and it's main function is to end sentences intended to be a statement desu. And our friend Suiseiseki here uses it at the end of her sentences no matter what, even if it isn't grammatically correct desu.
