Mmmh... If I REALLY were Scar -thus trying to think as evil as he does- I'd know that his son is Mufasa's main weakness. So I'd try to have him back, trade him for the throne... And then have him killed by the hyenas once he'd be off guard.
(That's the trickiest plan of them all, so I'm pretty sure that's what he would have done in that situation)
