The name comes from the maiden name of Matt Stone's mother, Sheila Belasco (Broslovski had been changed to Belasco when her ancestor immigrated to America)

I Believe It's From Matt Stone's Mothers Maiden Name Sheila Belasco (Named Broflovski).

from my various answers, (and trying to remember) "SKI" Is Kyle's last three letters in his name,
"SKI" is polish, so Kyle must of had ansesters come from Poland, either after or before the Holocaust.
