Do you hate how every Texan in movies, books, and shows are always wearing cowboy hats and boots and have accents. Sure some of us do but we still act and dress like everyone else in the U.S? Anyway, how do you feel about it?
Kind of insulted but thats how some peaple around the world think of us but were just like everybody els yah some of us have accents but that was mostly the past but still today we r proud of being in TEXAS let them think wat they want if they r insulting us!!!!!!!I AM PROUD OF LIVING IN T.E.X.A.S
All my friends from across the pond know about this steriotype. They also know that it just isn't true. I'll joke with them about this but when someone starts saying that all Texans are hillbilles, then I get defencive.
Actually, I like it. At least our state has an identity. Think of states like Ohio, Delaware, New Hampshire, and Indiana. What's the first thing that comes to mind? Nothing, probably, unless you have some personal connection to the state. People will no doubt think of something when they hear Texas, though. The reason why it's such a well-known state is because of the stereotypes. Besides, I've always wanted a Texas accent.
