After parting with their bandmates a couple of hours later, Paul and George discussed about what they had planned to do as part of the mission while on a bus ride back to their respective homes.
"Let's go back to Liverpool tomorrow morning," Paul finally said. "That way, we can both look for the treats and have a bit of a trip down memory lane!" George replied, "Capital idea, Macca! I actually thought about the same thing while we were eating earlier." Paul remarked, "Great minds sure think alike!" George said, "Yep! Speaking of which, I've already got something planned with regards to the pie. You'll find out what it is once we arrive there!" Paul replied, "Ooh, a surprise! Can't wait!" George responded with a cheeky smile.
The bus soon made a stop near the street where Paul's flat was located. "Well, that's my cue. Good night, Geo. See you at Euston Station!" he said as he stood up and began walking towards the open door. "Right back at ya, mate. Pleasant dreams!" George replied. He then had a friendly chat with another passenger for the rest of the ride.
When George returned to Kinfauns (which he had bought and moved to during the last week of March), he called up his mother to let her know about the visit and bake two whole apricot pies. Afterwards, he fell fast asleep.
