Why do vocaloid user's names end with "P"?

When Vocaloid became more popular, people transferred the tradition. Then there became the belief outside of Japan that you had to have people give you a P name because they love your music, but it's fine if you give yourself one or don't have one.

Some popular producers that don't have P names are ryo, Hachi, Yuyoyuppe, OSTER Project, and more. They're all popular but don't worry about having a P name.

I'm pretty sure some illustrators have these now too....

yeah he does, but it's really only the japanese fandom that uses it, not even himself. they call him genjitsutouhiP, which im guessing comes from the lyric in two faced lovers that was "genjitsu touhi no hyori ittai no kono shinzou," just as hitoshizukuP came from soundless voice.
