~~Hey guys so here's a fanfic I made, I know this isn't necessarily the type of page that would have fanfics but here I go anyway. No hate please~~
I stood on a cliff overlooking the river that lead out into the Veiled Sea. Lor' Danel is simply perfect this time of night; the stars give everything an amethyst glow and all the night elves are so friendly.
I guess- being a worgen- I never really fit in anywhere. Now I wasn't always this way (at one point Gilneas was my home). But that was all before I was afflicted with the Curse. I never new one tiny worgen bite had the power to destroy someone's sanity. It all seemed so sudden back in that basement, during the war. I thought they would turn me out. I thought they would even kill me, but luckily trust was bestowed upon my shoulders.
And now I wander everywhere riding hippogryphs and gryphons every time I can afford it, exploring and trying to find a place where I truly can rest and am at peace.
I've always liked Darkshore. It's such a unique, serene place, but today everything seemed a little bit crazier than usual, what with the war and all. The Horde is always in a war us it seems. Wounded soldiers being healed on beds and mats on the floor, and mailboxes full to the point where people had to collect their mail off the ground. I figure summer is the busiest time for war with all the enemies trying to catch us of guard...
I wanted to clear all the thoughts from my head, so I let myself fall off the cliff and hit the water. I sank to the bottom of the river, just watching the fish and I slowly rose to the surface. I relinquished my worgen form for that of a human (something I learned how to do in those first days I was afflicted the Curse).
I swam out to a small, rocky island barely big enough for two people, and just sat down with my feet dangling in the water. I ate what little food I had left, but mostly watched everything unfold: more quests being fulfilled (I knew I would have to complete some of the same things tomorrow) and more creatures being being killed. No matter how many beasts there were, I knew we would continue to kill them off.
I laid back and looked up at those magical stars and I fell asleep right there, on that small, rocky island just off the coast of Lor' Danel.
