Yup. I'm posting early, so I can give myself some time to finish the next few parts over Thanksgiving Break. Also... I just want you to have some Kyric fluff.
This story occurs around the end of November/December 1st, which, according to the YJ comics, is Robin's birthday, therefore making it Fin's biological birthday. :3 Yup... Enjoy!
Watching from an opposite rooftop, a smile graced a pair of crimson painted lips. “She’s too vulnerable like this. Untrusting.”
“So what are you going to do about it?”
“I’ve heard she wants to do this all on her own.”
“And...”
The first girl’s grin grew. “I’m going to make this a living hell for her.”
“Well, count me out. My days messing with this chick is over. After what happened to me last time,” the 20 year old male hissed out, shifting his left arm subconsciously.
“Whatever, Brennan.”
“Sorry, Chelsea, but I’m just not seeing how this is going to work out. You can’t just arrive and start to destroy her. It’s not gonna work out like that.”
Chelsea stood, opening a portal. “I don’t think so either. It’ll take awhile, but I’m sure we can get back up to speed.”
Brennan shook his head and glanced back at where the heroes were beginning to first leave, then turned. “I’m usually not the sceptical one, but I got my arm burned off for trying to grab her shoulder. I think something worse is going to happen to you.”
Chelsea simply chuckled. “I’m rather counting on it.”

The door to the flat opened, and Eric shuffled in. The clock on the wall, a couple minutes off, read 12:32 a.m. He slowly closed the door behind him, and dropped his backpack on the countertop. “Hey.”
When he didn’t get a response, he continued into the living room. He noticed on the couch there was a sleeping form, and he reached over to shake her shoulder lightly, when he paused, looking at her. She seemed almost perfect, sleeping soundly, like nothing had changed. He smiled softly, then touch her shoulder. "Kyra."
She jolted awake, then calmed. "Don't do that, please..."
"I'll try not to."
"What are you doing here? I told you guys not--"
"It's just me, Ky."
"Oh."
He sat down next to her and kissed her lightly. She hummed in reply, and cuddled up next to him happily. "Almost forgot," he murmured, pulling a small bag from his pocket. "Happy birthday."
"'S not my birthday yet."
“It’s your brother’s birthday, and your sisters, but it’s not yours.”
“No. I disowned it.”
“So? You can’t just disown your birthday.”
“Well I did.”
He glanced over at her, shaking his head. “I can’t believe you... Just take the damn present.”
She chuckled, and took the bag from him, going to open it. “Eric...”
“Do you like it?” he mumbled, looking away sheepishly and covering himself with a pillow.
“It’s... wow, Eric...” She pulled out a small, silver band that fit on her pinkie finger. On the inside, in small, precise cursive, were the words “cu tine pentru totdeauna”
“With you forever...” Kyra murmured. “Eric, that’s...”
“I just.. you know.. I want you to always remember me...” he muttered.
She threw her arms around his neck. “I will. I promise.”
They sat like that for a little bit, snow beginning to fall outside lightly. He moved over and she settled her head in his lap. Another minute went by before he asked, “What’s your real reason for doing this?”
She sighed. “I felt the need.. to.. prove something.”
“To the League?”
A scoff. “No, I don’t have anything to prove to them.”
“Then...”
“To... to Bruce, I suppose... I want to show him that I’m more than just some helpless kid he took in out of pity. I want him to see I’m more.”
“I see... You do realize that’s basically the reason your brother’s doing this?”
“Screw you, bastard.”
He laughed and leaned back. “You haven’t called me that in a while.”
“No.”
She began to hum softly, and they both slowly fell asleep. But the next morning, he woke up in an empty flat, the door cracked open, and his girlfriend gone.

Scene 2:
"You are a good man." Barbara said once more, firmly.
"Thanks, Babs." Sam said softly, looking into the red-head's blue eyes. Barbara returned the gaze. Sam leaned forward and brushed a strand of hair put of her face. "You are one of the best people I have eve met in my life." Sam said softly. "I'm glad we're friends Barbara."
The red-haired girl smiled and leaned forward, pressing her lips slightly to Sam's. Sam reached one hand into her fiery hair and pulled her closer, deepening the kiss before breaking off and standing up. "We tried this before. It didn't work out."
"Yeah..." Barbara said, looking to the side. "Sorry."
"Me too." Sam said, slipping on his mask and jumping from the window.
Barbara took a deep breath and about a full sixty seconds before returning to her computer.
