This is my first time with a Soapbox, so don't be surprised if it doesn't turn out great :)
But tvman wanted me to put this in a Soapbox, so here goes!

Yes, it's true, the amazing Hank Yarbo (Fred Ewanuick), emailed me! I was so bored that I went to his website when I came along this thing that said Contact Fred. So I clicked on it, copied his email, and emailed him from my hotmail account! It was a medium-length email telling him how much I LOVE him! And 4 days later.... TADA! I got a really nice email back from Mr. Ewanuick himself!! I sent him another email yesterday, hopefully he will send one back soon!
Ps - Fred also added me as a friend on Facebook, so now I consider him my real-life bff :) Lol!

I visited "Dog River" (Rouleau SK) in early September. It was a bit of a drive from Minnesota. I had some interaction with the locals and I found them to be very friendly and informative. I took photos of the main buildings used in the Movie & TV show and some of the surrounding country side. The post office has free corner gas post cards with a town map & the "Dog River Hotel" has post cards & bumper stickers for sale. If you mail your post cards from the Rouleau post office they will stamp them as mailed from Dog River. The Police Station is now a private residence but the Howler, Hotel, Post Office, Ice Arena and grain elevator all appear to have their original signage. There is also a bank and a real gas station in the town. The Dog River Hotel opens at 11:00 am for Lunch. The Ruby/Corner Gas set on the edge of town appear a little worse for wear but are at least they are still in their original colors. I wrapped up my visit with lunch at the Dog River Hotel.
