Friday Night Lights faithful, because Kyle Chandler has some tough news to share with you.

“I talked to Coach the other day,” the actor teasingly told TVLine’s Michael Ausiello on the Emmys red carpet Sunday. “He and Coach’s wife” — that would be Tami Taylor — “are having problems.”

The shocking update on one of TV’s most stable (and beloved) couples came after Ausiello lamented that Chandler’s recent Alamo Drafthouse PSA only stokes 

“I’m gonna talk to him. There’s things going on,” Chandler continued, hinting that perhaps Coach Taylor was hitting the bottle a little too hard as of late.

“Having problems” =/= divorce, EW. Coach and Tami had issues before and always worked through them. I have no reason to think that it’ll be any different this time, because Coach and Tami don’t give up when things get hard.
