Was it just me or did Jo's death seem a little ignored? Elena "dying" would always take centre stage as she was the main character but she IS in theory coming back! Two innocent kids died (recurring theme of pregnant women dying this season) and it seemed a bit too much like "oh well". I'm sure we'll see just how much it's affected Alaric next season BUT everyone else seemed a bit too quick to "move on". A pregnant woman's murder is pretty horrific after all! There reached a point early this season with Damon and Bonnie where their chemistry was so fun and they were so hilarious as friends, and we all looked at each other and realized this character has become as valuable as anybody else.

To be honest I was annoyed what Stefan said about Elena being the one who brought him closer to his brother. As yeah it is true in some regards but also he did essentially, for want of a better word: "steal" your girlfriend. They simplified it a little too much for me. BUT anyhow if the writers feel like he can move on from "the love of his life"(his words) to Caroline then I see no reason why Damon can't do the same with Bonnie. UGH I know I'm repeating myself but I find the writers/actors dismissal of Bonnie/Kai VERY annoying. I know not everyone here are Bonkai fans and I don't ship them seriously (Bamon ftw!) BUT they never do that with any other ships but Bonnie's. They don't understand that fans of Bonnie have had to put up with alot over the seasons and it's infuriating they don't understand fans want an exciting storyline for her! The reason we got into this D/E mess is essentially down to S2 when Stefan gave up being with Elena to save Damon. And ever since then all Damon did was move in on Stefan's girlfriend. Now what would be nice if Damon repaid the favour and gave up Elena to stick with Stefan. Would be a neat ending in my opinion. Posted over a year ago

Parallel: I remember some "epic" DE scene where they were both yelling and Elena was going on "I have to defend you AGAIN. I have to bend my morals AGAIN. I have to blahblah AGAIN" but they don't solve the problem they just go off and have sex but point being:
Bonnie in this last scene was like "I am sacrificing myself AGAIN. I am risking my life AGAIN. I could end up dead AGAIN" BUT she didn't just GIVE IN and avoid the issue. She confronted it and damn well made sure Damon did too! Posted over a year ago

It does annoy me however, that the next episode seems to be all about the cure, although I like that Bonnie, the voice of reason said: "What happens if human Elena doesn't want Damon anymore?".
I mean come on though writers, the whole human thing was Stefan's dream. I find it annoying they're recycling it for D/E at this sort of penultimate point! Who thinks dopple will find out that Damon has emotionally cheated on her with Bonnie and has for a while now? Bonnie, who is not in a relationship with Damon, knows more about him and the ish he has done and Damon does not hide that aspect of himself from her. Damon lied to dopple's face about the reason he marked the cure and map and why it was his personal hell. Just a thought BUT imagine if they DO KILL Elena off. Like all these seasons have always revolved around "keep Elena safe/alive" and it would all have been for NOTHING (like Prim in Hunger Games) All the bodies, hurt, pain and sacrifices to keep her alive, then in the end she dies anyway. Will be a MASSIVE anti-climax for me. Hopefully she just decides to move away. Would be better in my opinion and tie up her story nicely and then just focus on the Salvi brothers!
