Does anyone find it interesting how on the TV show, Damon shows his best self and his humanity but at also at the same time, his witty, charming snarky self when he's around Bonnie? To me, Damon is his true self when he is with Bonnie. i think he needs some example like stefan his brother or bonnie...
in the episode 22 in season one,he really doesn't understand why bonnie helps stefan saves him after all he did to her.

In Midnight, I find it so interesting how Damon knows so much about Bonnie's hidden, deeper inner self. Damon knows and understands her so well, it's not even funny. He keeps referring to her deeper and inner personality, whether they be her hidden desires, fears, good qualities, flaws etc. Damon is the only one to actually understand as well as know Bonnie's "hidden self" so well. I'm re-reading Midnight again, and I have to say that out of all the dynamics in the entire story, Damon/Bonnie are most definitely the most profound, deep, meaningful and magnetic dynamic in the entire series/book. However, I am disappointed with how little Bamon there actually was in the book. There should have been significantly more Bamon in the book. In the books, not only do I strongly think that Damon/Elena is an obstacle to Stefan/Elena, but DE is also an obstacle to Damon/Bonnie. Damon's obsession with having Elena, when it's something that is not fated, right or destined for him is a huge obstacle to both SE and DB, and therefore, it is creating, or has created a lot of chaos within the story. The definition of starcrossed means destined or fate to be together, but unfortunately, there are many obstacles that try to come in the way of the fated pairing. It also refers to destiny/fate and the inevitability of two individual's paths crossing each other. It also connotes that the lovers entered into the meeting without any preparation or thought... I really, really hope that the upcoming books offer lots of Bamon. I really don't believe L.J. Smith when she says that the publishers didn't like the Bamon connection. I really believe that it was purely just a cover-up to make the Delena fans feel better about not having their ship existent in the upcoming books. Guys, I would just like to say that I don't think Bonnie is in any danger of dying. Apparently, yesterday, they were shooting a funeral and Ian, Nina, Paul, Steven, Katerina, Candice, and Matt were all dressed in black. So that leaves Stefan, Elena, Damon, Jeremy, Bonnie, Caroline, and Alaric safe. I think the possible deaths could be Jenna, Tyler, Matt, or maybe even John, since Sarah, Michael, Zach and David were not spotted. Or maybe it could even be Andie, Damon's current GF. Relax peeps. I find it absolutely amazing that after over 500 years of living both as a mortal and immortal, Bonnie was the very first person to crack the stone which encased Damon's soul and make his soul burst unbearably to the point where Damon couldn't handle it. I think when his soul was bursting, it was bursting with overwhelming love, awe, tenderness, happiness and joy for Bonnie because she was feeling happy and joyful to be alive due to her near-death. I don't get why everyone hates on Show Bonnie because of her actions towards Damon. To me, she is the only character on this entire show that acts the most realistic towards Damon and what he does. Unlike Elena, who forgives every little shitty thing that he's done in a few episodes later. Damon and Bonnie are unlike no couple I've seen before. Their chemistry is natural and undeniable everytime when they have a scene together I feel like a little kid in a candy store because I know it's going to be GOOD!
